0234 "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Poo"
It's 2:15am and I'm sitting in my basement recliner thumbing this entry while watching Gremlins.
It just started.
Jeannette and Blaze are asleep on the couch.
I won't be sleeping any time soon myself, not with such weirdo cinematic brilliance playing in front of me.
Blaze was a tiger tonight.
For about forty five minutes.
Then he shat himself and soiled both the skeleton onesie underneath and the costume itself.
Which isn't a well known characteristic of the Tiger, ruining their coats with poo like that, at least to my knowledge. So I'm not sure if he he was doing some avant guard generalized statement on the shitty way we treat tigers.. or he still has no control over any of the functions of his body and shat without any context whatsoever.
Who can say?
He's tough to read.
Billy just unwrapped Gizmo. Still cute. Even after all this time. Well done whoever made that movie.
So he was batman for the rest of the night, Blaze, not Billy, and the shitty tiger costume was tossed into the laundry. End of Blaze's first Halloween bonanza.
We had planned on going to my sisters house to spend some time with them handing out candy but we bailed on that. She had a lot going on anyway so I don't think she cared too much. We were just very tired today.
With a newborn in the house what you want to do and what you have the energy for on the day are often not well aligned.
..Siri just changed a very well typed out 'Also' to 'Maradona'.
Gizmo just had cute little water babies on Billy's desk. This is Grim. Billy should really tell his dad about what just happened. But they're distracted by his dad's shitty inventions. Now they've introduced the character of "Stripe".
This is bringing back memories. I loved Gizmo. Such a good movie. We also watched Beetlejuice.. again.. just before this. Another kickass... 80's movie??? Early 90's? I can't remember.
Well I could, but I don't want to.
I did at least start the day semi interestingly. I got up and took Hubble for a fairly intense hike down to the rocky beach and along the shore. With no leash.
Well he's growing up guys. By my estimation he's almost 16 or so; with dog years and human years being taken into account it's about time I have him a little more space.
We went further down the shore than I'd been to date. A little further down I think I saw a cave. I've seen a few around but they're very shallow and not too interesting. I'd like to find one with a bit more of a Goonies type feel. Next time I go down I'll check it out and let you know if I find any treasure.
Or the much more likely 'piles of garbage'.
I also saw the town of Morden a little further down. It would be a hike, but a good one. Maybe I'll save that for a day when I have nothing to do. Which doesn't look like it's coming any time soon.
Okay, it's 2:42 am. By the time I spell check this I will have done my due diligence.
I hope you all had a good Halloween.
